After spending nearly a decade in finance and customer service, I felt a strong pull toward a new path—one where I could have more meaningful impact and align my work with my values. I’ve been counseling clients for three and a half years, working for Mark Rodel and Royce Woodhouse, whose mentorship I value more than I can express, and have been inspired by Karla LaOrange in education, who navigates life and leadership with courage, compassion, and conviction. I went back to school a few times and have degrees in TESOL, Organizational Leadership, and a Master’s degree in Social Work

I specialize in helping clients navigate challenges related to anxiety, depression, relationship/family and marriage concerns, addiction, and life transitions. My approach integrates ACT, CBT, mindfulness, motivational interviewing, and values-based strategies, empowering clients to make choices aligned with their personal values, build emotional resilience, and develop actionable plans for growth. I emphasize validation, empathy, and perspective-taking, helping individuals and families bear life’s burdens in ways that strengthen relationships and promote lasting change.

In addition to individual therapy, I draw on insights from my work in education and leadership, supporting individuals in navigating conflict, enhancing communication, setting boundaries, and fostering healthy dynamics in both personal and professional contexts. My value is to create a safe, supportive, and affirming environment where clients feel heard, understood, and equipped to move forward with clarity, confidence, and purpose.

I have spent time writing about and documenting an approach to leadership that focuses on people, and have written two books, with a third set to be published this year. The approach consists of validation, decisions based on values, and a focus on processes and systems over outcomes. The third highlights structures for having difficult conversations. Below are the titles:

Validative Leadership: At-Leasters of Positivity

Validative Leadership: No Such Thing as a Bigshot

Validating Leadership: Delivering Discipline with Directness (coming soon)
